Welcome to the kick-off of PSW Week. In respect to it being nurse's week I will not be kicking off PSW week early, but will be letting you in on whats to come for next week. Over the course of the last 2 weeks I have been interviewing PSW's on their stories and it's been a pleasure. For PSW Week we are taking these stories and putting them across our platforms.
Thank-you for your hard work, and thank-you for your support.
We love you! :)

I speak with Beth Davidson from Conestoga College on the college's new Supportive Care program. This program offers actual education for those interested in being Supportive Care workers- something I personally stand for... better education that isn't designed to replace the PSW by cutting corners.
The program offers employment and support while navigating the course. I am so excited to bring it to your ears!

This week with The PSW Podcast, we are joined by a past work colleague of mine named Danielle. I met Danielle through my work in ICU and found myself "tapping" with her for a brief time as a way to cope with my PTSD. Danielle and I discuss "Tapping" and the benefits it has on the body while being an extremely accessible (and affordable) mental health resource.

This week we sit down with CANSWA/OPSWA CEO Miranda Ferrier to discuss the profession on a professional level. PSW professionalism has been a topic on the forefront of our minds for a while now and we discuss how it relates to our profession as a whole. The PSW profession deserves respect and we hope that this core value (and the podcast today) resonates with you.
Take care! 🙂

This week Tay sits down with Angelique, our wellness expert and dives into what will hopefully be the start of many conversations surrounding mental health and wellness.
Mental health supports are often very inaccessible/unaffordable to most.
Tay hopes to start a series of conversations that offers coping strategies that are affordable/accessible while maintaining the conversation needed to navigate this ever-winding road that is mental health.

Pillway is changing the way we look at our prescriptions by providing an online service for those looking for assistance with their current prescriptions, exploring alternatives, and more. The idea of an online pharmacy is daunting but after speaking with both Harv, and David- I learned quickly that this route is actually a holistic, and inclusive way of revolutionizing a system that has been un-touched for years.
